SSC CHSL 2025 Notification: The Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2025, conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), is a competitive exam for recruitment to Group C posts such as Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operators (DEO) in various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India and other organizations. ​

Application Fee:

  • Fee Payable: ₹100 ​
  • Exempted Categories: Women, SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation. ​
  • Payment Mode: Online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/RuPay Debit cards. ​

Vacancy Details and Qualification:

  • Tentative Vacancies: Approximately 3131. ​
  • Posts and Pay Scale:
    • LDC/JSA: Pay Level-2 (₹19,900-63,200). ​
    • DEO: Pay Level-4 (₹25,500-81,100) and Level-5 (₹29,200-92,300). ​
  • Educational Qualification (as of 01.01.2026):
    • DEO in specific Ministries: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics. ​
    • LDC/JSA and other DEOs: 12th Standard pass or equivalent. ​

Selection Process:

  • Tier-I Examination: Computer-Based Test (CBT). ​
  • Tier-II Examination: CBT with multiple sections and Skill/Typing Test. ​
  • Final Selection: Based on performance in Tier-II and post preferences. ​

Exam Pattern:

Tier-I (CBT):

  • Subjects:
    • English Language (25 questions, 50 marks) ​
    • General Intelligence (25 questions, 50 marks)
    • Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions, 50 marks) ​
    • General Awareness (25 questions, 50 marks) ​
  • Duration: 60 minutes (80 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates). ​
  • Negative Marking: 0.50 marks per wrong answer. ​

Tier-II (CBT):

  • Sections:
    • Section-I: Mathematical Abilities and Reasoning (60 questions, 180 marks). ​
    • Section-II: English Language and General Awareness (60 questions, 180 marks). ​
    • Section-III: Computer Knowledge Test (15 questions, 45 marks).
    • Section-IV: Skill/Typing Test (Qualifying in nature). ​
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark per wrong answer in Sections I, II, and III. ​

Skill/Typing Test:

  • DEO: Speed of 8000-15000 key depressions per hour. ​
  • LDC/JSA: Typing speed of 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi). ​
